    Author: vjkite

I am a veteran, secondary science teacher turn Ph.D. student pursuing my doctorate in science education. While in the classroom, I was a highly-decorated instructor who led a progressive classroom that continually bumped up against the edges of what many thought possible for an instructional space. During my time as a graduate student, I have worked to establish a vibrant research agenda and to establish a presence at multiple international gatherings. My research currently focuses on non-technological approaches to teaching computational thinking and integrating computational thinking into science curricula.
